Pray For Rosie

Benefit & Donation Report

Throughout the last few months, we have tried to keep you updated on Rosie's condition as well as provide opportunities to give, volunteer or post words of comfort for the family. We have received a report of what was raised at the benefit at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds a few weeks ago, and I wanted to take a moment to show what God has done through so many people for this family.

Here's a brief summary of what was brought in at the benefit:

  • Ticket Sales - $11,395.66
  • Silent Auction - $8,817
  • Bake Sale - $1,125
  • Soft Drink Sale - $252
  • Other Donations During Event - $2,683.48

After expenses for the benefit, we were able to put $23,516.54 away to give to Tony, Rosa and Emily. We also had other sales such as pictures inside trucks and pins that received about $2,099. Additionally, many of you have given through this website. To date, we've collected approximately $3,200 through the donate link on the left. In total, more than $28,815.54 has been raised for the Bratton family!

We thank God for the generosity and kindness that has been shown to this family through everything that has happened over the last few months.

Pictures Wanted

Saturday's benefit was a huge success, and we'd like to thank everyone who came out for Tony, Rosa and Emily as well as those who donated time, services or items. We estimate that we had between 960-1000 people at the event.

I'll be putting together a picture gallery of the event on this site similar to the one that's already on here. For this, I need pictures from anyone who was there on Saturday. If you'd like to share your pictures, please email them to events@teamrosa.org. Thanks!

Benefit This Saturday!

Wow, it's finally here. After weeks of praying and planning, the benefit for Rosa, Tony and Emily will be on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds. If you have already purchased your tickets, thank you and we look forward to seeing you! If not, you can click here and buy your ticket easily over our secure website. Not only do you save money buying the tickets in advance, but it helps us know how many people to prepare for.

So far, we've had a great response through all of this, and I'm not just talking about the benefit. From your uplifting comments on this site to your willingness to volunteer for the benefit to all the donations that have been given to the Brattons so far, your support has been and continues to be deeply appreciated. It's great to see on this site daily that there are so many praying for Rosie's recovery.

We have some great things planned for this benefit as I'm sure you've already seen on the flyers. Please pass the word along to everyone you know. We look forward to seeing you all Saturday!

Update – 3/10

Today was Rosie's second full day at TIRR Memorial Hermann at the Medical Center. She was moved to the 4th floor and is now in room 401. She had physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. This will occur almost daily throughout the week. Her new team of doctors have met with Tony and developed a game plan for how to treat Rosie. When I got there tonight, it appeared to Tony and I that she is now attempting to focus on objects. If I was right next to her bed near her head, she would look straight at me and follow as I moved left or right. We aren't sure if she really is following or if it was coincidence, but we are hopeful.

For Rosie's benefit, we are selling presale tickets a couple different ways. The first and easiest is to purchase them online. If you've ever bought tickets online for a concert or other event, it works very much the same way. After paying with PayPal, you'll get them in your email to print out and bring the day of the benefit. We also have a few areas in Needville, Rosenberg and Sugar Land that will be selling tickets and I will attempt to compile a list tomorrow. If you are coming to the event, please buy your tickets as quickly as possible so that we get an accurate count of how many people are coming.

I've also been asked about silent auction donations. If you have something to donate to the silent auction, click here or use the silent auction donations link on the left to email us about what you'd like to donate and someone will get back to you quickly.

Thank you for all of your prayers and support!
