Pray For Rosie

Update – 2/20

Well..... I am very grateful for having such a dedicated and sincere friend in Joey, this site coupled with your words of encouragement have really lifted my spirits. I know Rosie is loved by more people than I can count and we appreciate above all else your sincere prayers; though the doctors have painted a bleak picture for our family, God has yet spoken on the matter. I ask that you continue to pray for Rosie's complete healing and for Emily's wellbeing.

         -For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family´╗┐ in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,  and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Update – 2/19

Just a small update today. Yesterday, Rosie was doing about the same. The staff cut her hair because having long hair like she did wasn't very good for her after a little over a month in a hospital. I did find out  that even though she is still on a ventilator, she isn't using it. Rosie is, for the most part, breathing on her own. I was told the ventilator is there "just in case". Her fever is down, and the infectious disease doctor from Methodist stopped by yesterday to look at her and said Rosie's staph infection was much better.

Thank you to everyone who is reading this site. It's only been public for about 24 hours, and the outpouring of support on here is amazing. Know that all of your comments are being read by Tony and are greatly appreciated. Also, there is a benefit being planned for possibly early April, and as more and more details get planned, we'll let you know on here. Please keep praying for Rosie to recover and for Tony's strength through all of this.

Update – 2/18

Last night, Rosie showed what looked like more signs of improvement. When I got to the hospital, Tony said she had opened her right eye about 4 times earlier that day. Later that evening, Maria and I were in Rosie's room with her. As Maria was talking to her, Rosie started moving her arms. She began opening slightly and closing her right eye constantly throught the time we were in there.

She is still on a ventilator as of last night though the ICU staff has been positive on her ability to soon breathe on her own. Please continue to pray for her recovery and for Tony and Emily as well.
