Pray For Rosie

8Mar/101

Update – 3/7

Rosie has continued to impress doctors and nurses alike. If she doesn't have a fever or any other medical issues and TIRR has an available room, she should be moved there sometime tomorrow. We have heard so many good things about TIRR and are excited about her upcoming move. Please pray for her health, that space will be available and that God will continue to do His amazing work through her at this new facility. We thank God for everything He has done and how far He has brought Rosie in the last 6 weeks.

One of the staff members at Triumph remarked tonight that the oxygen level being delivered to her is at 28% (normal air is 21%). With the level being so close to normal, they will attempt to wean her off the oxygen and on to normal air soon, most likely at TIRR.

As we announced last Friday, the benefit for Rosa and Tony is set for April 10th. Click the benefit page for more information on the event or click here to order tickets online and have them emailed to you immediately. Thank you for your prayers and support!

Update – 3/5

Today Rosie's physical therapy was extended from an hour to almost 3 1/2 hours and she tolerated it well. I finally had the opportunity to speak with her new neurologist today and based on physiological improvements that he witnessed last week from her in the ICU, he decided to give her another EEG yesterday. He told me that from the first EEG until now there have been improvements and the number one thing she has working for her is her age, we celebrated Rosie's 24th Birthday on January 9. He also asked Rosie to do a few things and although he can't be certain she intentionally did them a number of times he thinks she intentionally tried to. He also told me that when he would pinch her finger she would withdraw her hand. I'm not trying to make mountains out of mole hills, I just want to acknowledge God when acknowledgment is due, and as we continue to fervently pray to God we shall not cease to praise God along the way.

I have also updated the PICTURES tab with new photos of Emily Grace........

Lastly for those of you who believe in praying over specific matters, I ask that you pray for Team Rosa, the volunteers who are selflessly putting together a big event/benefit on our behalf, not only them, but great weather for that day, and over all success and favor from God.

I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

 Ephesians 4:1-3

UPDATE - 5:30 pm

Praise God, i just got the call at 5:18 from a TIRR advocate explaining to me that Rosie was accepted to TIRR and should be transferred Monday, assuming the room is ready and she doesn't get sick or something out of the ordinary.

Update – 3/4

After 6 long weeks, Rosie has finally been moved out of ICU to her own private room on the second floor, room 229. Rosie is asked not to have too many visitors at this time as she continues to try and regain her strength, however we continually welcome all of your earnest prayers. Rosie was also visited by a Nurse Liaison from TIRR Rehabilitation, a phenomenal rehab facility. She explained to me that TIRR offers a program for patients who are minimally active which helps stimulates neuro activity. The only hang up is that some insurance companies don't cover minimally active patients, however if ours does, Rosie could potentially be transported to the Medical Center in the coming days. So for those of you who are traveling this journey with us, join with me in prayer that Rosie will be able to go to TIRR and benefit from it.

Update – 3/3

Just a quick update today. Rosie's physical therapy is progressing very well. The nurses are hoping they can take her outside for some sun possibly later this week. Also, while I was in the room with Tony and Rosie, her nurse came in and told Tony that Rosie may be moved out of ICU and to a regular private room tomorrow! If she is moved tomorrow, I'll create a new post or update this one.

Thank you everyone for your continued prayers and support for Tony & Rosie.
