Pray For Rosie

27Feb/105

Update – 2/26

I walked into Rosie's room today and Tony looked at me and said, "see anything different?" Usually, this is a dangerous question for me, because my wife asks it and I pick the most obvious change and hope that it's the right answer. So, I looked at Rosie and noticed that the bite block that had been preventing her teeth from biting her tongue was gone. I told that to Tony and he said "umm...what else is missing?" I looked around her room and finally noticed that her ventilator is completely gone out of the room! In my defense, there were 4 people in the room at the time other than myself so it was a little hard to see everything.

Tony said that Rosie has been breathing completely on her own since Wednesday night. The hospital staff did not see any reason to keep the ventilator near her, so they took it away. Rosie has also been opening her eyes fully very often. Previously, she would open her eyes fully every once in a while and partially every few minutes.

We still have plenty of ribbon pins to send out. For every donation of $5 or more, we can send a ribbon pin to the address you give us. Simply use the donate link to the left and tell us in the comments of the donation that you would like a pin and let us know if there is a different shipping address. At the end of the week, we will send out pins for the requests we get for that week.

To all who are keeping Tony and Rosie in your thoughts and prayers and to everyone who has helped the family in any way, thank you. We are seeing God do some amazing things every day, and we hope you get even a little bit of a view of what God is doing through these updates.

  5. WOW ! Saw Rosie today and she looked so good.:) So glad she is improving everyday. I miss my BFF so much ! We did everything together at work and especially our lunches, which usually consisted of lunch and shopping in 1 hour. We were fast! God is doing some awesome things with Rosie and it’s just the beginning of great things to come!
