14Apr/102

Update – 4/14

Please pray for Rosa and Tony this morning. She is scheduled to have her surgery today at Memorial Hermann. Recovery will take approximately 3 days, and then she will be transferred back to TIRR. I will update this post when I receive more information.

Update - 5:30: Just got word from Tony that everything went well so praise God for that! Please pray that Rosa's recovery will go just as well.

Pictures Wanted

Saturday's benefit was a huge success, and we'd like to thank everyone who came out for Tony, Rosa and Emily as well as those who donated time, services or items. We estimate that we had between 960-1000 people at the event.

I'll be putting together a picture gallery of the event on this site similar to the one that's already on here. For this, I need pictures from anyone who was there on Saturday. If you'd like to share your pictures, please email them to events@teamrosa.org. Thanks!

Update – 4/11

I know I will probably fail to find the adequate words to express our deepest gratitude, but I shall try nonetheless. Rosie, Emily, and I have truly been blessed by our friends, community, and even kind hearted strangers. In a time of our lives where we have experienced our highest highs, we have also experienced our lowest lows. We have been encouraged daily by your thoughts, prayers, and participation in Rosie’s benefit. We would just like to first thank Team Rosa, Made Ya Smile, Monster Jam, First Baptist Needville, Firetron, Drillin and Grillin, Blue Moon Signs, the dozens of kind folks who donated silent auction items, Stafford Fire Department, Jumping Jacks, all the volunteers, and of course those who came out to make this benefit such a success, thank you… thank you….. thank you….

Rosie’s surgery has been rescheduled for the morning of Wednesday the 14th. Today we went outside as we do most days that are nice and Rosie got to visit with Miss Emily Grace for about 30 minutes before she went back home with grandma.

Update – 4/7

Rosie had a scheduled appointment today at 11 AM for her surgery, however at the last moment the doctor received results from blood tests preventing her from getting the surgery today. Rosie is on blood thinners for blood clots in her right arm. They stopped administering the medication, however they did not stop them with enough time for her blood to balance. This morning her blood saturation was still too thin for surgery, unbalanced blood saturation could result in hemorrhaging. Rosie has been rescheduled for Tuesday the 13th.

Hope to see and meet many of you this weekend, God bless........

Benefit This Saturday!

Wow, it's finally here. After weeks of praying and planning, the benefit for Rosa, Tony and Emily will be on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds. If you have already purchased your tickets, thank you and we look forward to seeing you! If not, you can click here and buy your ticket easily over our secure website. Not only do you save money buying the tickets in advance, but it helps us know how many people to prepare for.

So far, we've had a great response through all of this, and I'm not just talking about the benefit. From your uplifting comments on this site to your willingness to volunteer for the benefit to all the donations that have been given to the Brattons so far, your support has been and continues to be deeply appreciated. It's great to see on this site daily that there are so many praying for Rosie's recovery.

We have some great things planned for this benefit as I'm sure you've already seen on the flyers. Please pass the word along to everyone you know. We look forward to seeing you all Saturday!
